Contract Law Focus Session

A practical consolidation of key legal principles covered in the UAE Civil Law, Jurisdiction & Enforcement and Corporate Focus sessions, taking you through a case scenario where you will be required to advise on and tailor an international commercial contract for use in the UAE.

The course will be divided into three parts:

• Part I: a review of potential capacity issues, governing law and jurisdiction clauses and contract form;
• Part II: a detailed review of operative and key boilerplate provisions from a UAE law perspective; and
• Part III: contract execution considerations.

By the end of this interactive session, attendees will have considered a number of key points to keep in mind when using and adapting international documentation for use in the UAE.
