Cultural Competencies for a Successful Career in the Middle East

Cultural competence in today’s globalised world is a key factor for successful business undertakings, especially when working in a culture that is not one’s own. Gaining a better understanding of how Middle Eastern values translate in the workplace and in business can save costs, diminish frustrations and increase efficiency.

This two hour cultural awareness course is aimed at new lawyers coming to practice in the region and will aim to:

• Provide participants with a better understanding of Middle Eastern cultural values and the impact of Islam at work and on everyday life
• Provide further knowledge on how to work and communicate effectively with counterparts in the Middle East
• Share top tips and strategies for successfully working in the Middle East
