The M&A process is not a “one size fits all” process and the amount of work and the time required for the individual steps may vary substantially. Lawyers are involved in most of the phases of a M&A transaction and the advisory activity depends on whether one is acting as a buyer or as a seller advisor, the type of deal and whether there is a structured auction process or a one-to-one sale.
After a short presentation on the definition and types of M&A deals, this course will aim to give an overview of all the phases of a M&A transaction and in particular:
A particular focus will be given on UAE Company Law and its challenges in dealing with M&A.
